Have you visited Chureito pagoda? This place is quite famous for its BEAUTIFUL scenery.
When you take pictures of the pagoda and Mt. Fuji, you should climb up on the stone wall behind the pagoda. That surface is sloping and slippery, so Fujiyoshida city has set up a safety barrier on the wall. But the view from there has not changed.
Please come and enjoy the scenery!!!

A restaurant guide has come out
A restaurant guide for Mt. Fuji and Fuji Five Lakes Area has come out... lately (Sorry, I don't know exactly when). My favorite is #20's BIG Tendon (variety of Tempra on rice in a bowl)!

Haste makes waste!
Becoming one of the world heritage-listed areas, large number of people, mostly from overseas, have been climbing Mt. Fuji lately. The higher you climb, the more jammed the trail. Especially at the sunrise time.
This is from Asahi-shinbun, digital article.
In this movie, you can see 3 people are deviating from the fixed route and even making a rockfall. What do you think? Can you imagine how dangerous it is?
Haste makes waste. Please follow the route, PLEASE!

Otsuki Station
The best way to access the 5th station of Kawaguchiko-guchi trail from Tokyo area is to get on a highway bus from Shinjuku. But some people prefer train because they want to use JR pass. When you access by train, you have to transfer at Otsuki station. Here are some pics of there. The blue line on the ground leads you to the Fujikyuko line platform. Info; Platform #1 and #2 are for Fujikyuko line. Platform #3 to #5 are for JR line.
