Okura-takamaru ( 大蔵高丸 )

Okura-takamaru is one of the Yamanashi 100 celebrated mountains. If you are lucky, you can see such beautiful sceneries from that point. I hiked there around noon, so I hardly could see Mt. Fuji. But the hike was so fun.

Eco-trekking near lake Yamanaka on Oct. 25th

I joined the eco-trekking organized by Fujisan Volunteer Center last month. It started from Kirara near lake Yamanaka. We climbed Mt.Takasasu and Mt.Myojin through Kiridoshi Pass. Although Mt. Fuji couldn't be seen from the view points, we enjoyed the colored leaves and our hike.

This white Fuji-azami (a kind of thistle) is quite rare.

Ochudo Loop Trail & Osawa Collapse

Ochudo (お中道)trail, now it doesn't go full circle because of Osawa collapse (大沢崩れ), was used to be an ascetic training course. I hiked there last Oct. with my co-workers.

We had to cross several mountain streams between Okuniwa (奥庭)and Osawa collapse.

Niju-magari-toge (二十曲峠)

A bit late though, I went to Niju-magari-toge where you can see Mt. Fuji over colorful autumn leaves in its peak.
Can you find out Mt. Fuji in this picture?
